천방지축에 겁도 없이 덩치 큰 친구들에게 덤비곤 하는 이치노세 카이. 그는 숲 속에 버려진 피아노가 유일한 친구이다. 자기 방식대로 연주하며 어느새 천재적인 재능을 소유하게 된 카이. 어느 날 동경에서 전학 온 아마미야 슈헤이를 만나게 되고 그가 피아노 레슨을 받고 있다는 사실을 알게 된 카이는 그를 ‘피아노의 숲’으로 데리고 간다. 슈헤이가 연주하면 소리가 나지 않던 피아노는 카이가 연주하자 아름다운 선율을 들려주게 되고 슈헤이는 그 사실에 격한 심리적인 동요를 느낀다. 우연히 카이의 피아노 연주를 듣게 된 음악 선생 아지노는 카이의 연주 속에 예전 자신의 음색이 깃들어 있음을 느끼고 정식으로 피아노를 배워 콩쿨에 나갈 것을 권유한다. 공부하듯이 피아노를 배우는 것이 싫었던 카이였지만 슈헤이와 아지노 선생의 도움으로 슈헤이와 함께 콩쿨에 나가게 되는데…

제2차 세계대전 패전 후 일본, 초고속 경제성장을 이루며 극심한 빈부격차가 발생함과 동시에 무장 반정부세력 ‘섹트’의 세력이 더욱 커져가던 혼돈의 시기. ‘섹트’의 테러가 극렬해지자 이를 진압하기 위해 독자적인 권한과 군사력을 가진 수도권 치안 경찰기구 수도경 특기대를 창설한다. 그리고 비밀 첩보 암살팀 ‘인랑’에 대한 무성한 소문이 떠돌게 된다. 특기대 최정예요원 ‘후세 카즈키’는 임무 수행 중 ‘섹트’의 빨간 두건단(폭발물 운반하는 여자나 아이)을 맞닥뜨리지만, 제압하지 못하고 망설이던 찰나 소녀는 스스로 자폭한다. 그날의 트라우마와 죄책감으로 인해 찾아간 소녀의 납골당에서 그녀의 언니를 만나게 되는데… 운명을 거스르고, 사랑을 선택할 수 있겠는가?

Rally Vincent and Minnie May Hopkins are just a pair of gun shop owners who do a bit of bounty hunting to make ends meet when a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms agent comes to them. Using the threat of arresting them for their lack of a retail license for their merchandise and the resulting unpaid taxes, he forces them to agree to cooperate in a sting to break a gun running ring. They have an initial success, but that brings new problems as the ring's leader brings in a merciless assassin to eliminate these new enemies. It will take all their skill, allies and some luck to come out this crisis alive.

Zenno, a master gamer, has been offered the chance to play the newly-released game, Expers. But when a naked girl appears in his classroom to give him his Expers Suit, complete with real superpowers, he learns that Expers is not just a simple computer game — it is a real-life kill-or-be-killed PvP (Player versus Player) game. Only the main character of the game can survive until the end — but who is the main character? And, perhaps more importantly, who is controlling the game?
