지역 엘리트 정치인들에 의해 깊게 파묻혀 있던 과거의 더러운 비밀들이 지역을 뒤엎는다. 그들의 것이나 다름이 없던 이 지역을 뒤엎는다. 은퇴한 경찰서장 긴타스는 지역 엘리트 정치인 모임에 소속되어 활동하고 있다. 그러나 정체 모를 살인자에 의해 이 모임의 구성원들이 하나둘씩 죽기 시작하고, 우연히 희생자들의 시신 옆의 이상한 상징적 물건을 발견하게 되면서, 긴타스가 사건에 개입하게 된다. 긴타스와는 정반대의 성격의 젊고 야망있는 특별 수사관 시모나스와 공동 수사를 하게 된다. 하지만 그들의 공동수사는 곧 세대와 세계관의 차이로 충돌하면서 위기를 맞게 되는데…
