러시아와 전투가 끊이지 않는 우크라이나 동부 돈바스 작은 마을. 그러나 이곳의 젊은이 니키타와 동생은 댄스 유튜브로 세상을 바꿀 수 있다고 믿고 동영상을 촬영한다. 그러나 촬영 도중 포탄이 터지면서 동생이 다리를 심하게 다친다. 니키타는 동생 수술비를 구하기 위해서, 돈바스 사람들이 싫어하는 키예프로 떠난다. 이곳에서 열리는 레츠 댄스 대회에서 우승해서 그 상금을 동생 수술비로 쓰려고 하는 것. 그러나 시골 청년에게 대도시는 완전히 다른 세상이라 계속 사고에 연루되고, 대회를 주최하는 유명 가수 리자를 보고 첫눈에 반하기도 한다. 우여곡절 끝에 결승까지 올라가지만, 사랑하는 리자가 괴한에게 납치되는 것을 보고 그녀를 구출하기 위해서 온몸을 던지는 니키타, 이제 결승전 시간은 다가오고... 각고의 노력 끝에 대회의 우승과 사랑을 쟁취한다.
