세상 모든 게 신기하고 궁금한 것 투성이인 꼬마 꿀벌 ‘마야’. 하지만 평화롭기만 한 꿀벌 왕국에 자유로운 ‘마야’는 사고뭉치일 뿐이다. 꿀벌 왕국에서 초원으로 쫓겨난 마야는 친구 ‘윌리’와 배짱이 ‘플립’을 만나 초원생활을 즐기지만, 곧 꿀벌왕국이 위기에 처했다는 소식을 듣게 된다. 바로 여왕의 책사 ‘버즈리나’가 로얄젤리를 숨겨 여왕의 건강을 위태롭게 한 것. 말벌을 몰아내고 왕국을 집어 삼키려는 책사 ‘버즈리나’의 계략에 맞서 과연 ‘마야’는 로얄젤리를 구하고 꿀벌왕국을 지킬 수 있을까?
