Bouboule is a taxi driver. A Russian princess wishing to acquire French nationality offers to marry her to divorce a few months later. After incredible adventures, Bouboule manages to save the inheritance of his wife, divorces and finds his sweet Lucette.

Solicitor Lukács is well known for his expertise in divorce. He lets a room and while he is away, Csahos, his articled clerk, in charge of business affairs in the absence of the solicitor, leaves almost all of the flat to Székely Klári, a pretty university student. Lukács, while driving his car to Siófok, accidentally bumps into his wife and their friend, Bognár Miklós. Misunderstanding the situation, he asks for a divorce.

When their relatives from the countryside miss the train to their wedding anniversary, Lawyer Dr. Helwing and his wife Dolly decide to go out together. Meanwhile, infamous burglar "Monokel-Fredy" enters the Helwing villa with some of his cronies, only to find out that the relatives have arrived after all.

Irene, a young Hungarian becomes an elegant and brilliant Parisian for the love of a car racer. Her transformation earns her the heart of her beloved.

Playwright Jacques Deval directed this 1935 adaptation of his own stage comedy Tovaritch. Set in Paris, the story revolves around Princess Tatiana (Irene de Zilaby) and General Mikail (Andre Lefaur), two members of the Russian nobility who'd been forced to relocate to France after the Revolution. Though the regal couple has been entrusted with the Imperial crown jewels, they'd sooner starve to death than betray the late Czar by selling the gems. As a result, they're reduced to taking jobs as servants in the home of a wealthy but somewhat zany family. Robert E. Sherwood's Americanized version of Deval's Tovaritch was filmed by Warner Bros. in 1937, with Claudette Colbert and Charles Boyer.

To win the heart of a rather simple minded young man who doesn't seem to care much for women, a young foreign lady takes a job as the chambermaid to the man's sister in law.
