어두운 밤, 쿄나의 가족은 침략자들을 피해 급히 피난길에 오른다. 가족은 곧 흩어져 버리고, 쿄나는 남동생 아드리엘과 안전한 땅을 찾아 이동한다. 남매는 부랑아들의 소굴, 강압적인 양부모의 저택, 의문의 노파가 사는 산 속 오두막, 서커스단 등을 전전하며 여러 사람을 만나고 다양한 위험을 극복한다.

A timid penguin waiter with a red bow tie goes out of his way to perform his job to perfection. But when a glacé cherry falls from the cake, it sets off a chain reaction of disastrous events. Before long, the frigid social gathering is transformed into a boisterous party.

Oil, gold and fire are the treasures inside the proud giant mountains. For the little mountain it's impossible to keep up with that. He's just in possession of this tiny, strange and useless SOME THING.

The non-narrative animated film is a poetic debate with the issue of "HOME" and the experience of the outland as a new home. A collage of fragments of Hilde Domin's poems and a concentration and overlay of sketchy drawings and sound elements - always incomplete, always close to disappearance. It describes the search for an inner place of calm - a timeless space of deceleration.
