약력

After graduating from NYU with a degree in film production, Jayil has worked as a director of commercials, music videos, and short films in both the US and South Korea. In the last four years, his works have screened in 100+ film festivals and garnered 50+ awards around the world. His latest film Georgia (2020) won best short at the Busan International Film Festival and was nominated for a Korean Oscar. Georgia has also been featured in The New Yorker’s Screening Room Video Series and ranked 6th on Screen Rant’s 10 Best Short Films Ever Made on Letterboxd. Jayil is currently filming a Disney Plus series with a Korean production company set to premiere in Spring 2023.

어느 새벽, 삼신할머니는 병실 문에 붉은 고추를 걸어놓고는 여러 영혼들에게 열쇠를 하나씩 나눠준다. 영혼들은 저마다 매운맛의 정도가 다른 고추를 한입씩 베어 먹고는 병실 안으로 들어간다. 그런데 한 영혼이 고추가 너무 맵다며 먹기를 거부하고, 정체 모를 소녀 귀신이 대신 병실 안으로 들어가겠다고 나선다. 소녀 귀신이 고추를 베어 물자 전혀 예상치 못한 삶의 미래가 눈앞에 펼쳐진다.
