아프가니스탄과 파키스탄을 전전하던 어린 시절 집단 강간을 당한 상처가 있는 사바네는 약혼자에게 자신의 과거를 알려야 한다는 강박과 두려움에 떨고 있다. 테헤란에서 7년을 혼자 살았다는 이유로 시어머니에게 처녀성 증명을 요구받은 네갈은 자신을 믿지 못하고 보호해주지도 못하는 약혼자가 야속하다. 페레쉬테는 약혼자가 반대하는데도 산부인과를 찾았다가 궁지에 몰렸다. 닐루파는 결혼식을 며칠 앞두고 아버지에게 자신은 결혼할 수 없는 몸이라고 알려야 하고, 아프간 난민인 나히드는 약혼자와 결혼을 하기 위해 감행했던 위장 결혼을 이제 끝내야 한다.
Azim, an afghan refugee, who works at the municipality at night, lives in Tehran along with his family. Being the head of entire family, he has to choose between his own life and his mother’s whom he has always claimed as the most important one in his life.
