Nefes Polat

In winter 1979, during their semester break in Ankara, Turkey, two siblings aged 7 and 8 find their way out of boredom by playing games in their apartment. However, something goes wrong that day. Their grandmother falls over the tent that they were playing in and interrupts their game. While trying to figure out what happened, they notice a strange intruder waiting at their door. They have to find a solution before their mother returns from work.

Handling two homes, three kids and her mother with Alzheimer's; Meryem, a single mother nanny, gets hooked on middle class' discourse of self-help. Going over her priorities, she decides to step up for herself on the worst day possible.

신입 간호사 아슬리가 외딴 마을에 도착한다. 그곳은 겨울이 끝없이 지속되는 것 같다. 곰들이 겨울잠에서 일찍 깨어났다는 소문이 마을에 퍼진다. 마을의 한 남자가 실종되자 아슬리는 권력 다툼과 비밀, 의심의 한가운데로 빨려들어간다.

Orhan is a quiet family man. On the one hand, he takes care of her mother, who is in a coma due to a house accident, and on the other hand, he deals with the debt he has left because his friend disappears. In this process, he gets out of tune with his family and gradually loses his father's role. Orhan, who goes into additional job trials such as interviewer and taxi driver to cover the debt, increasingly becomes another man.

A none dialogue film about a young woman called Sukran, who has an accident when she is 10 years old and stays crippled for the rest of her life. Throughout the film, she seeks to create a common ground with other people. Despite her hunger to do so, she fails with people of the opposite sex, and so turns to her own gender. Again, she meets with failure; and again, she is knocked sideways. Just like all of us, Şükran keeps looking helplessly for ways to communicate with other people until the bitter end. Her helplessness may not be the exact same to our own helplessness as spectators, but they are indeed in very close proximity.

터키 흑해 지역의 고립된 마을에 사는 시벨은 말을 하지 못한다. 대신 그녀는 조상 대대로 내려오는 휘파람 언어를 이용해 소통한다. 세상과 어울리지 못하는 그녀는 늑대를 사냥하기 위해 매일 산에 오르고, 어느 날 도망자를 만나게 된다. 그 도망자는 시벨이 그녀 자신을 보는 새로운 눈을 갖게 한다.

How does it feel when we realize we have no more in common with the people who made us who we are? Önder goes to visit Mehmet, the cousin he has always looked up to and loved like a brother, but not seen for some time. Although the evening begins brightly, Önder realizes by the end that the brother-like bond between them is a thing of the past.
