갓 제대한 스테판은 아버지가 하던 자동차 정비소를 동생과 함께 운영하던 중 아름다운 카티야를 만나게 되고 그녀의 소개로 길거리 레이싱을 즐기는 다른 친구들을 만나게 된다. 하지만 녀석들의 우두머리인 도커의 꾐에 넘어가 빚을 지게 되고 그걸 갚기 위해 어쩔 수 없이 차량 도난에 가담하게 된다. 도커의 전 여자친구였던 카티야와 도커와 함께하는 다른 친구들 역시 어떤 형태로든 빚을 지고 있다는 것을 깨달은 스테판은 도커를 따돌리려고 하지만... 한편, 도로의 무법자들 때문에 골머리를 썩던 경찰은 대대적인 작전을 통해 놈들을 체포하려고 하나 계획은 실패하고 오히려 농락당하며 성과를 전혀 내지 못한다. 그러던 중 경찰인 카티야의 아버지가 차량 도난 사건 뒤에 더 큰 범죄 조직이 있다는 것을 알게 되고, 조직의 흔적을 쫓기 시작하는데...
