뉴욕의 고독한 형사 스탠은 몇 달 전 섬뜩한 연쇄살인 사건을 해결하던 중, 위장수사 중이던 동료가 목숨을 잃는 사고를 겪는다. 최근 다시 시작된 비슷한 유형의 살인사건. 범인은 범행대상의 시체를 절단, 해부해 미술작품으로 만든 후 공들여 전시해놓는 수법을 반복한다. 스탠은 젊은 형사 칼과 함께 파트너가 되어 다음 범행을 막기 위해 고군분투를 시작한다. (바다공원님 제공)
