시리아 난민 아이들의 비참하고도 아름다운 생존을 그린 영화. 2012년 시리아에서 탈출한 9살 소녀 마르와와 그녀의 가족들은 요르단 난민 캠프에서 새로운 삶을 시작한다. 마르와와 어린 동생들은 천막이 무너지고 매트리스가 젖어도 뛰고 웃는 일을 멈추지 않는다. 여느 아이들처럼 놀이에 몰두하고, ‘우주선을 타고 다른 별로 가는 것’을 꿈꾸는 아이들. 하지만 1,2주 정도의 임시 거처라고 생각했던 그곳에 4년 째 발목이 잡혀 있는 동안 마르와는 아이에서 소녀로 성장하고 첫사랑을 경험한다.

During the summer of 2014 Gaza war, in the battered neighbourhood of Shujaiya, 37-year-Salma made her home her shelter from the attacks. She and her daughter are protected in relative calm, until she receives a text message warning her of their impending fate.
