Young high school couple Darcy Elliot and Stan Bobrucz are one year from graduation, with promising futures ahead of them. But their paths take a drastic turn when Darcy becomes pregnant. Unwilling to go through an abortion or an adoption — despite their parents' pleas — Darcy and Stan decide to sacrifice their college experiences and degrees in order to keep and raise the baby. After a quick marriage, the two realize it won't be as easy as they thought.

도시 한복판에 있는 낡은 건물입주자들의 땅을 사들인 레이시가 새로운 건물을 세우기 위해 폭력배들을 동원한다. 그래서 입주자들은 매일 폭력배들한테 시달림을 당한다. 폭력배 대장인 카를로스(마이클 차르마인 분)는 닥치는 대로 집을 부수며 이주비를 받아가라고 성화다. 노망든 아내 페이(제시카 탠디 분)와 햄버거 집을 운영하는 프랭크(험 크로닌 분), 무명 화가 메이슨(데니스 볼릿시카리스 분), 애인에게 버림받은 마리사(엘리자베스 페나 분), 은퇴한 흑인 복서 해리(프랑크 맥리 분) 등은 속수무책으로 당하면서도 이주를 거부한다. 어느날 페이는 잠결에 인기척을 느끼고 깨는데 이상한 기계가 집안을 날아다니는 것을 보게 된다. 그 이상한 기계는 고치는 것이 취미라 부서진 집을 고치는 대신 전기와 금속 등을 먹는다. 주민들은 페이의 말을 믿지 않다가 물체를 직접 보고는 그것들을 보호하게 된다. 물체는 새끼도 세마리 낳는다. 한 마리는 배터리가 들어있지 않아 죽어있는 것을 해리가 살려낸다. 희망을 갖게 된 주민들 사이에선 다시 웃음이 떠오르고 서로에 대한 관심도 생긴다. 메이슨과 마리사는 아주 가까워진다. 카를로스를 동원한 것이 효과가 없자 레이시는 건물을 태울 계획을 세운다. 다급해진 카를로스는 물과 전기를 끊으며 발악하는데 이때 남자 외계 물체가 상처를 입는다. 이 때문에 외계 물체들은 주민들에게 아쉬움을 남긴 채 떠나버리고...

Cybill Shephard stars as Vicky, a woman married to a rich old man, who has one foot in the grave. Gregory Harrison plays Mike Riordon a district attorney, who is young, handsome and living at home with his Irish mom for the most. Vicky's husband Arthur gets Mike involved in a merger of two companies...or something like that even though he knows that Mike and Vicky were a couple and that she had dumped him. Whilst Mike and Vicky are attending a party, Arthur is alone at home when a burglar appears out of nowhere and shoots him point blank.

The second in-name-only sequel to the first Meatballs summer camp movie sets us at Camp Sasquash where the owner Giddy tries to keep his camp open after it's threatened with foreclosure after Hershey, the militant owner of Camp Patton located just across the lake, wants to buy the entire lake area to expand Camp Patton. Giddy suggests settling the issue with the traditional end-of-the-summer boxing match over rights to the lake. Meanwhile, a tough, inner city punk, nicknamed Flash, is at Camp Sasquash for community service as a counselor-in-training where he sets his sights on the naive and intellectual Cheryl, while Flash's young charges befriend an alien, whom they name Meathead, also staying at the camp for the summer.

잡지 기자이지만 도박을 즐기는 빌과 삼류 도박꾼 찰리는 한 도박클럽에서 만나게 되고, 둘은 함께 시간을 보내면서 점점 가까워지는 것은 물론 빌은 찰리의 삶을 흡수하게 된다. 도박을 하면 할수록 빌의 빚을 늘어나고, 그는 더 큰 돈을 따기 위해 찰리와 함께 리노로 향한다. 극 중에서 빌이 찰리에게 카지노와 경마장이 같은 선상에 있다고 이야기하듯이, 은 알트만 감독이 보여주고자 하는 제어되지 않은 혼돈의 세계를 다루고 있다. 알트만 감독의 다른 작품에 비해 비교적 덜 알려진 이 버디 무비는 과 함께 폴 토마스 앤더슨 감독의 의 호아킨 피닉스와 조슈 브롤린을 연상시킨다.
