Pete Holmes: Dirty Clean
Lighting Design
This stand-up special finds Holmes confronting personal truths about the mechanisms of consciousness, the afterlife and Elon Musk, as well as sharing a few thoughts on being a new dad.
Pete Holmes: Faces and Sounds
Lighting Design
Over the course of his silly, high-energy performance, Holmes shares his thoughts on such disparate topics as: the keys to happiness; the illogicality of nightmares; being an "easy laugh"; what to wear on a flight; bizarre quirks of language; filling one's "joy quota"; how the British deal with awkward situations; the ridiculousness of porn; and more.
Deon Cole: Cole-Blooded Seminar
Lighting Artist
Stand-up veteran Deon Cole dazzles the crowd with his sharp jokes and easy charm in his first hour-long special. He pontificates on subjects ranging from the endless uses for plastic bags to how he knows he's aging to why we'll never have another black president. Cole's observations about race, society, and everyday life are often absurd and always intelligent.
Cesar Millan: Viva Las Vegas!
Lighting Design
Cesar Millan takes Las Vegas by storm in an concert-like show where he helps desperate dog owners transform out-of-control dogs live on stage in a Nat Geo WILD special event.
Jo Koy: Lights Out
Lighting Design
Infectiously funny and painfully honest, Jo hits on such topics as the joys and struggles of fatherhood, growing up with strong and opinionated Filipino women, sleep apnea, and role playing. If you don't already know Jo from his stand-up or regular roundtable appearances on Chelsea Lately, it's time that you do. Ting ting!
Britney Spears: In The Zone
Lighting Production Assistant
Britney Spears: In the Zone is a busy batch of Britney-mania, much of it featuring Spears in crisp dance numbers supplemented by behind-the-scenes glimpses and chatter. The heart of the show is an ABC television special featuring live performances of "Toxic," "Breathe on Me," and "I'm a Slave 4 U." A fun highlight is Spears's hip-hop collaboration with the Ying Yang Twins on "(I Got That) Boom Boom," one of the few numbers in the star's stage repertoire with a little room for spontaneity. Between songs one finds Spears gushing over her grandfather, praising her entourage, describing the emotional toll of being in the public eye, and writing songs.
Hole Unplugged
Lighting Director
On February 14, 1995, Hole recorded a live acoustic performance in front of an audience at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City. Along with a string ensemble, The group played a mix of hits off "Live Through This," plus new material, covers by Duran Duran and Donovan, and unreleased Nirvana track "You Know You're Right."
Rita Rudner: Born to be Mild
Lighting Director
Rita Rudner brings her standup to the Ohio Theatre in this special.
