In recent years, city of Belgrade has been proclaimed the capital of European clubbing. From the perspective of prestigious city club bartender Mare, this is story about modern day Belgrade and its residents.

This is the story about Todor, hardworking and ambitious student. He lives with his mother in very modest life. But, in a strange way, seemingly by accident, Visnja appears, desperate, pregnant girl who needs help and protection.

Akademija Republika shows a group of people gathered around the club from 1981 until 1995 and how it changed and influenced the cultural and night life around them.
