Baekmin, who practiced martial arts for his father's vengeance, comes to Busan for his enemies. Baekmin will only follow his martial arts skills. Sung Man was the grandmother of his brother, Chang, the enemy whom Baekmin found. 성태는 진숙의 뒷바라지로 의대를 졸업한 후, 그녀가 간호사로 근무하는 병원의 신경외과 의사로 온다. 두 사람의 사랑은 깊어지고 진숙이 임신하자 둘은 결혼을 약속한다. 그러나 원장의 딸 정아를 만난 성태는 출세를 위해 정아를 선택하고 진숙을 독살한 후 병원 연못에 빠뜨린다. 그때부터 성태는 밤마다 나타나는 진숙의 망령에 시달린다. 성태는 의학적인 소견으로 진숙의 사망을 재확인하지만 망령이 계속 나타나자 이를 추적한다. 결국 모든 것이 진숙의 고모인 간호장이 그녀의 한을 풀어주기 위해 계획한 것임을 알게된다. 성태는 충격을 받고 그의 출세를 위한 야망은 물거품이 되어 사라진다.
