초능력이나 심령술에 관심이 많은 딩어(Dinger Holfield: 코리 헤임 분). 딩어는 최근 클리브랜드에서 이사를 와 누나인 레이첼(Rachel Holfield: 로빈 리벨리 분), 친구 바비(Bobby Keller: 코리 펠드만 분)와 함께 생활한다. 어느 날 얼마전에 죽은 친구 콜먼으로부터 소포가 하나 배달되어오는데 소포 안에는 한쌍의 선글래스가 들어있었다. 이 선글래스는 대단한 능력을 지닌 안경으로 한 쪽을 낀 사람이 다른 쪽을 낀 사람의 마음을 읽고 그대로 실행하게 하는 효력을 갖고 있다. 이 안경을 쫓는 사람이 둘 있는데 비싼 돈을 받고 팔려는 미모의 아가씨 레나와 끝없이 그들의 뒤를 쫓는 살인자 행크가 그들이다. 안경을 찾으려고 혈안이 된 레나는 콜먼이 딩어에게 보낸 사실을 알아내고 주소를 추적해 바비와 딩어를 찾아온다. 레나는 바비를 속여 안경있는 곳을 알아내 안경을 빼앗아가고 설상가상으로 딩어는 감옥에 갇히는 신세가 된다. 그리고 살인자 행크는 계속 세사람 주위를 맴도는데. 한편, 바비는 매일밤 미래를 예견하는 듯한 이상한 꿈을 꾸고 레나를 추적하는 레이첼과 바비는 바비가 꾼 꿈을 단서로 안경을 빼앗아간 레나를 추적한다. 마침내 그녀를 찾는데 성공한 레이첼과 바비. 그들은 레나의 방을 수색하던 중 레나가 선글래스를 비싼 값에 팔 계획이라는 것을 알게 된다. 레나의 방에서 안경을 찾아내는 레이첼과 바비. 그러나 또다시 레나에게 안경을 빼앗기고 마는데. 위기에 놓인 레이첼과 바비, 그들은 과연 선글래스를 되찾을 수 있을지.
