Six secretaries (Cesarina Marchetti, Paola Quagliero, Liliana Avincola, Anna Maria Scafasci, Resi Bruletti and Fiammetta Profili) delve into the past to tell us what it was like to work in the world of Italian cinema when our films used to clean up at award ceremonies, from Venice to Los Angeles, via Cannes. The documentary is a revealing flashback of their lives, both off and on-set, enriched by anecdotes, revelations, unpublished photographs and other curiosities related to some of the great classics.

왕년에 동네밴드로 잘 나가던 네 명의 친구 니콜라, 살바토레, 로코, 프랑코는 어느 여름 날, 음악에 꽂혀 10년 만에 재결성을 결심한다. 이탈리아 남부의 음악축제에 참가하기로 마음먹은 그들은 차로 두 시간이면 갈 수 있는 거리를 10일 동안 도보로 여행하기로 한다. 한편 이들의 여행을 위성 방송으로 편성하려는 미모의 저널리스트 트로페아가 그들의 여행에 합류하면서 당나귀 한 마리, 네 명의 남자들의 여행이 기록되기 시작한다. 게다가 공연 중 만난 매력적인 여인, 마리아까지 합류한 여행길. 흥겨운 멜로디, 캠프파이어로 남자들의 우정은 새삼 돈독해지기 시작하지만 저널리스트는 비판적인 시각으로 이들을 보도하려고 한다. 과연 이들은 여정의 목적지인 음악축제에 참가할 수 있을까?
