사진작가 레슬리는 성소수자들이 끊임없이 차별받는 모습에 가슴 아팠다. 레슬리 자신도 성소수자임을 깨달은 후 그는 주변에 얼마나 많은 성소수자가 존재하는지 사람들에게 알려 일본 사회를 바꾸고 싶었다. 그는 일본에 있는 1,000명의 성소수자들에게 사진 찍기를 제안했다.
