각 영화계에서 활동하고 있는 감독, 촬영감독, 제작자, 편집자들의 인터뷰를 담은 다큐멘터리 는 빠르게 디지털화 되어 가는 영화제작의 현실을 다룬다. 제작자이기도 한 할리우드 배우 키아누 리브스가 직접 영화계의 거장들을 인터뷰 하며 영화계의 혁명으로 불리는 ‘디지털 방식’에 대해 좀더 심층적인 관점으로 관객들에게 다가간다. 또한 35mm 필름과 디지털 방식이 서로 공존할 수 없는지에 대한 문제를 제시하면서 디지털화로 인해 무엇을 얻고 무엇을 잃었는지 그리고 장래의 영화 산업에 어떤 영향을 미칠 것에 대한 대안도 조심스럽게 제시 해본다. 영화 제작이나 감독 또는 촬영, 편집에 이르기 까지 영화제작에 종사 하고 싶은 영화과 학생들에겐 더 없이 좋은 참고자료가 될 작품이다. LIME SALTED LOVE is a minimalist, surreal examination of abandonment, guilt, abuse and psychic pain set in this minute's hipster enclaves of Los Angeles. 마약 복용으로 재활원에 다녀온 10대 소녀 멜라니(레아 파이프스)는 새로 이사 온 마을에서 새롭게 인생을 시작하려 한다. 그런데 첫 날, 먼저 마을에 와 살고 있던 언니 크리스탈(크리스틴 카발라리)에게 마을의 기찻길에 대한 얽힌 전설을 듣게 된다. 50년 전, 아이들을 태운 한 스쿨버스가 기차와 충돌하면서 아이들이 모두 죽는 사고가 일어난다. 그때 이후로 기찻길에 차를 가만히 세우고 있으면 그 아이들의 영혼이 나타나 차를 기찻길 밖으로 밀어준다는 이야기가 마을에 전해 내려온다. 미신을 믿지 않는 멜라니는 이를 그냥 웃어넘기지만 정말로 차가 저절로 움직이는 경험을 하게 되고 어떤 한 여자 아이가 계속 나타나면서 주변에 이상한 일들이 벌어진다. 그리고 마을에서는 사람들이 하나 둘 죽어나간다. 결국 멜라니는 그 여자아이가 50년 전 사고로 죽은 아이의 영혼이며 자신에게 도움을 청하고 있다는 사실을 깨닫게 되고 당시의 버스 사고가 조작된 것이며 마을의 고속도로 건설로 인한 비밀이 있음을 밝혀내는데..
