Cheeni, a working girl, has to suddenly take care of her mother whose lifestyle turned bizarrely eccentric post-widowhood. Putting her hectic city-life on pause, Cheeni moves back with her mother who is suffering from brain cancer in their orthodox Manicktallah neighbourhood in Kolkata where chaotic fireworks ensue as the traditionalist housewife and her rebel millennial daughter battle amidst surprising revelations and family secrets.

Shubho and Sharodiya live on the opposite ends of the same neighbourhood in North Kolkata. Sharodiya’s family is eager to get her married. Her folks keep coming up with options of new suitors every day. Sharodiya though has been successfully revolting against this for a while now….Shubho’s situation is tad bit more messed up. At least, Sharodiya is a self made professional, and is successful . But the thirty-three year old Shubo, who’s always aspired to be a singer-songwriter secretly… has ultimately had to give in and inherit his father’s post in the government railway services. To top that, one fine morning Anadibabu, an astrologer by passion and a friend of Shubho’s Thakurda, drops by with a prediction- Shubho’s stars say it’s time to get him married. And the bride, so he foretells, will be found from the matrimonial ads in the newspapers.

Bolo Dugga Maiki is an entertaining movie about Samya who always leads his life as a liar. However, when he meets a gorgeous girl in a train, Uma, his life changes in the blessings of Ma Durga.

Because of a train strike, a group of tourists, mostly unrelated to each other, get stuck in New Mal Junction. These people are honeymooners (Saheb and Mimi), family vacationers (Pallavi Chatterjee, Koushik Banerjee, Tridha Choudhury), an ailing mother and her son (Lily Chakraborty, Kaushik Ganguly), a priest (Ardhendu Banerjee), a heroine and her abnormal brother (Gargi Roy Choudhury, Rajdeep Ghosh), one trekker (Kamaleshwar Mukherjee), a bus conductor (Rudranil), and a retired teacher (Maasud Akthar). One of the tourists, the priest manages to arrange a bus from the church for them to reach North Bengal. The other tourists also join him in the bus trip, but unfortunately the bus meets with a terrible accident. It falls off a cliff into an abyss, but the tourists survive with minor injuries. Injured and traumatized, they realize that they have become completely detached from any form of human contact.

The plot starts with a British family visiting the rural places of the Sunderbans. Resham, a fatso, pale but jovial woman in her late 20s, carries out the responsibilities of a tourist guide to the Brits. Five years ago Resham’s husband had gone to the jungle to fetch honey but had not returned. Hence it is believed that Resham now belongs to the clan of widows whose spouses have unfortunately fallen prey to the tigers. Resham and all the other women like her live on the edge of a village, their locality is called Vidhva Palli, or “abode for the widows”. The government is educating the women to make them independent. They are providing English education so they can become guides to curious tourists and Resham is clearly one of the best in the business. The climax of the story is stitched with a sequence of multiple mind-boggling situations. Will Resham be able to have a successful love story with Himon? Who's Dakshin Ray /Khoda Badshah /Jahangir?
