Driven by an image which will not leave him, Philémon takes a room at the Hôtel de la Mer. This unseemly boarding house contains a «cinema for the blind«, where the interior drama of the residents is secretly projected. Philémon slips, step by step, into a mute dream, where he attemps to lose sight of himself.

A young woman lives with her sleeping husband. Prisoner of her loneliness, she refuses to accept that this man is only a memory.

A solitary man works in a tall office building. The only moment in his drab life that's out of the ordinary each year seems to be opening the birthday card and gift from his mother. With engaging candour and gentle humour, Obomsawin fleshes out an uncertain identity and takes control of her life. Using drawings on paper and digitized snippets of fabric, she creates a whimsical world of simple lines and pastel tones.
