청나라 사 황자 애신각 라윤진은 십사 황자에게 황위를 물려준다는 선황제의 유조를 위조한다. 그리고 유조를 작성한 신하가 진실을 밝히려 하자 그를 암살하고 암살의 배후를 십사 황자로 몰아 그를 죽이려 한다. 하나 신하들의 반대로 십사 황자를 종인부로 보내고 자신이 황위에 오른다. 황위에 오른 윤진은 동인을 보고 과거 황자 시절을 회상한다. 황자 시절 궁 밖을 구경하던 사 황자는 동인을 파는 스님에게서 소림사 동인진에 대해 듣게 되고 소림 무공에 흥미를 갖게 된다. 우연히 위험에 처한 아가씨를 구해준 사 황자는 그녀가 마음에 들어 그녀의 집에 찾아갔다가 그녀가 다른 남자와 있는 것을 보고 질투해 그 남자에게 대결을 청한다. 자신보다 무공이 뛰어난 남자가 소림사 동인진을 통과한 표기인 용 문신을 하고 있는 것을 본 사 황자는 소림사로 찾아가 제자로 받아달라고 청한다. 우여곡절 끝에 소림사의 속가제자로 들어간 사 황자는 들어간 지 1년 만에 동인진에 도전하지만 무참히 깨지고 만다. 그 후로 여러 차례 도전하던 사 황자는 마지막 도전에서 마지막 관문을 앞두고 자신의 신분이 탄로 나 도전을 저지당하고 마는데...
Abbot
소림사를 배신한 석소봉의 만행에 함성이 높은 대래거리에 나타난 방랑객, 그가 바로 조선 소림사의 젊은 무인 운비. 운비는 소봉의 집에 나무를 배달하는 담, 그의 형도 소봉 일행에 항거하다 죽었다는 사실을 알게 된다. 신검이라는 별명을 가진 강남낭자, 그도 소봉의 잔인한 행동에 사랑하는 여인을 잃은 풍류객이다. 한맺힌 운비, 담, 강남낭자 세 사람은 굳게 뭉친다. 드디어 거사날! 이 세 사람의 마지막 결투가 남았다.
Boss Wang
Lui is a powerful ex-minister who opposes the ambitious premier Hu Wei Yen. Lui is assassinated, so his daughter Lui Sin and an assorted band of people loyal to the emperor seeks revenge and justice. The premier made a mistake - he allowed a scroll of battle orders to fall into loyalist hands. Lui and Co learn this, and vow to take this proof of treason to the emperor. But, though the loyalists have Shaolin on their side, the premier has two renegade shaolin, who say "Earth and Sky", which makes them invincible, as well as golden pills, which restore their health if badly wounded. And, naturally, there are loads of old men who stroke their long white beards whilst nodding their heads.
In early Republic of China when Taiwan was still under Japanese occupation, people were oppressed, and their condition was miserable. A Kung Fu coach from China was invited to Taiwan. His name was Wan Chin-san. Mr. Wan established a Kung Fu School in a small village and refused any Japanese to be his student. For this reason, he was assassinated. When his son, Wan Ming-Chieh, heard the terrible news, he came to Taiwan in search of his father.
