원앙겁법으로 강호에 이름을 날리는 명우(왕우)와 연주(진평)는 명우의 고모이자 무림의 최고수로 불리는 홍부인(능파)에게서 봉황 거문고를 본가로 운반하라는 명령을 받게 된다. 명우 부부는 산중에서 산적들의 습격을 받는다. 대규모의 산적들과 대항하기 위해 명우는 홍부인의 엄명을 어기고 봉황 거문고를 사용하여 산적들을 퇴치한다. 그 광경을 목격한 산적패의 교두는 명우 부부를 쫒아가서 봉황 거문고를 훔쳐 내온다. 무림의 비보 거문고를 명우 때문에 악인의 손에 들어가게 된 것이다. 한편 명우와 연주의 말을 엿들은 교두는 봉황 거문고에서 발사된 바늘로 중상을 입은 두령의 아들을 구하기 위해 7성석을 찾으려고 하고, 돌을 찾으러 갈 것을 예상한 명우부부도 말을 달리게 되는데... Admist a rebellion during the Ching Dynasty in ancient China, a nurse flees the palace with a young prince. As an adult, he convinces the daughter of the usurper to betray her father and to assist in restoring him as the rightful monarch.

Chen Hou is a chauffeur who gets caught in a mistaken identity scandal linking him to businesswoman Lok Dai. Chen was supposed to audition for a job as her chauffeur, but a proposed musical show is far more attractive to the aspiring dancer. When a rumor gets out that the two are involved in an affair, she's angry and confronts him, but his charms overwhelm her, and it's revealed that she too desires to dance. Soon she's bankrolling the affair, the sets are being built, and the singing and dancing begin!
