두 편의 영화가 모두 실패한 감독 아성(장국영)은 애인 메이(막문위)에게 얹혀 사는 신세다. 간신히 일거리를 얻지만 3류 에로 영화를 찍기에는 자존심이 허락하지 않는다. 그러나 언제까지 놀고 먹을 수는 없는 일. 결심하고 촬영에 나선 아성은 사사건건 문제를 일으킨다. Lawyer Fan Kam-man believes that his wife Chun Yuen-yung perished in a plane crash three years ago and walks down the aisle again with Yan Bik-kei. In fact, Chun survived a crash-landing on a deserted island with fellow passenger Wong Ah-lik, a biologist. Returning to civilisation, Chun sabotages their wedding night at the hotel. Overjoyed with her safe return, Fan pulls off a feat with his mother and wife to terrify Yan into divorcing him. However the lie is exposed when Wong shows up.
