Makoto Mioya, a highly successful Japanese author and publisher, has a life-threatening, near-death experience. Powerful spiritual beings with whom he has communicated most of his adult life visit Makoto to remind him he has the power within to heal himself. Reborn, Makoto commits his life to sharing the almighty wisdom he receives from the spiritual realm. As doubters, including some of his own family, challenge and question his new-found ardor, Makoto must find a way to connect with his family and the ‘family of man’ to inspire a better world.

Saru is a talented young locksmith who unlocks any kind of lock. He is, however, a complete fool when it comes to women. One day a girl Mayumi asks him to open a safe full of stolen money. Knowing nothing about it, Saru takes the money briefcase with Mayumi and finds himself with yakuza gangsters and also police in hot pursuit.

1979년 키타큐슈의 한 중학교에 국어 교사로 부임한 미카코(아야세 하루카).배구에 대해 아는 것 하나 없는 그녀는 남자 배구부의 고문이 된다. 하지만 배구공을 만져본 적도 없고, 아무런 의욕도 없이 언제나 여자 생각에만 빠져 있는 아이들. 배구부를 제대로 일으켜보려는 열혈 교사 미카코의 노력은 ‘시합에서 1승을 하면 가슴을 보여주겠다’는 말도 안 되는 약속으로 이어진다. 미카코가 허락해 버린 ‘가슴의 약속’에 아이들은 엄청난 의욕을 불태우게 되고, 지역 예선전이 다가올수록 미카코는 점점 초조해진다. 점차 실력이 향상되는 아이들이 1승을 하면 좋겠지만 한편으로는 난감하기도 한 미카코. 그런데, 시합을 앞두고 미카코의 ‘가슴의 약속’이 학교에 알려지고 만다...! 과연 배구부는 꿈에 그리던 1승과 함께 미카코의 가슴을 볼 수 있을까?
