Julio Adrián Lojo Bocca (born March 6, 1967), known professionally as Julio Bocca, is an Argentine ballet dancer. Bocca spent twenty years as a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre and is currently the artistic director of Ballet Nacional Sodre, the national ballet of Uruguay. Bocca has been called one of the most popular Argentine dancers of all time.

마리오 수아레즈(미구엘 앙헬 솔라)는 성공한 중견 감독이지만 아내에게 버림받았다. 탱고 무용수인 아내 라우라(세실리아 나로바)를 잊지 못하던 마리오는 고통에서 벗어나기 위해 '탱고'에 관한 뮤지컬 영화를 만들기로 한다. 제작 준비를 하던 중 그에게 제작자 중 한 명인 마피아 두목 안젤로(후안 루이스 갈리아르도)가 찾아와 자신의 애인 엘레나(미아 마에스트로)에게 오디션을 받을 기회를 주라고 부탁한다. 오디션 날 마리오는 엘레나를 주연으로 결정하고 연습에 들어간다. 마리오는 탱고를 추는 엘레나의 모습에 빠져들고, 그녀에게 구애한다. 어느 날 엘레나는 마리오를 찾아와 사랑을 고백하고 함께 밤을 보낸다. 이 사실을 눈치챈 안젤로는 부하를 시켜 엘레나를 미행하고, 두사람을 위협한다.
