아이스하키 선수인 한슨 형제는 북미 아이스하키 마이너리그팀인 혹키 팀의 만년 후보선수들이다. 2부 리그인데다가 성적도 지지부진하고 인기도 없는 혹키 팀이 흑자를 내기란 불가능한 일이다. 결국 구단은 새로운 탄생을 위해 팀의 단장을 전격 교체하고, 새로운 단장은 팀을 맡자마자 코치를 여자들로 선임하는 등 파격적인 운영스타일을 선보인다. 또한, 팀을 정규리그로 끌어올리기 위해 할렘 팀 같은 초강팀과 반강제로 연습 경기를 시켜 창피를 준 후 혹키 선수들의 승부욕을 자극한다. 이에 따라 만년 후보인 한슨 형제의 잠재력도 조금씩 눈을 뜨기 시작하는데....

The Cocoa Poodle bar is the central meeting place for the denizens of a bohemian suburban area.
