한밤의 세트장. 모든 스탭들이 분주히 움직이고 미국의 젊은 감독이 소자본으로 영화를 찍기 위해 러시아의 낡은 스튜디오에서 목청을 높이고 있다. 소련 스탭들은 그의 말을 못알아 듣고 배우들의 연기는 엉망이다. 촬영을 끝내고 모두들 돌아간 뒤, 특수분장을 맡은 빌리(Billy Hughes: 마리나 수디나 분)는 두고온 물건을 찾으러 스튜디오로 돌아간다. 텅빈 스튜디오에서 빌리는 러시아 스탭 2명이 뭔가 촬영하고 있는 것을 본다. 그러나 바로 다음 순간 그녀는 심장이 머는 듯한 충격을 받는다. 그들은 스너프 필름(Snuff Film: 섹스를 하며 살인을 실연하는 포르노 영화)를 촬영하고 있었다. 아무 예고도 없이 죽음을 느낀 여자의 눈동자. 말을 못하는 빌리의 소리없는 비명. 그녀의 존재를 알아챈 살인자들이 빌리를 뒤쫓고 미로같은 촬영장의 출구를 찾지 못하는 빌리는 빠져나가기 위해 온힘을 다하지만 소용이 없다. 쓰레기장에 간신히 숨어있던 빌리는 이들이 시체를 비닐봉투에 넣어 쓰레기장에 버리는 장면까지 목격한다. 간신히 언니(Karen Hughes: 페이 리플레이 분)에게 구조 요청을 한 빌리는 가까스로 구출되지만, 경찰이 왔을 때 이미 증거는 깨끗하게 치워져 있었고, 오히려 빌리가 목격 한 것이 그녀의 착각인 것처럼 꾸며져 있었다. 목격자를 제거하기 위한 살인자의 추적은 계속되고 빌리는 갑자기 등장한 KGB요원 라센(Larsen: 올레그 얀코브스키 분)의 도움으로 위기를 모면한다. 그런데 라센은 엉뚱하게도 그녀에게 어떤 디스켓을 요구한다. 순간 빌리는 살인 현장의 바닥에 떨어져 있는 디스켓을 어렴풋이 기억해낸다. 러시아 마피아와 KGB가 모두 원하는 디스켓, 빌리는 영문도 모른채 모두의 표적이 되는데.

Andrei is the head of a gang of antisemitic skinheads clinging to the old communist ideals in post-Communist Moscow. When he learns that his long lost father actually is a Jewish bohemian living in Moscow, rather than an Afghanistan war hero, he traces him down in order to kill him. But the intriguing father and his "reactionary" lifstyle soon fascinates Andrei which leads to a clash with his gang.

When gold is discovered in a remote location, a variety of different groups descend on the spot to stake their claims, resulting in a spate of brutal violence.

In an abandoned apartment there are former spouses. Barricaded, the husband, thus, trying to escape from the criminals who hunt for compromising photos. But the ex-wife is there not by chance — she is the mistress of one of the kidnappers. But with an unusual date, the former feelings take over, the lovers decide to deceive the bandits and go on the run.

An ex-convict Viktor Dremov, who is also an ex-boxer, tries to mend his ways and start a new life but his former girlfriend is marrying another man (some old antiquarian), while local thugs rob him of his car and press him constantly trying to make him work for them. Being framed and hunted he should kill them all before he becomes a broken or a dead man.

A story about a young woman, Vera, who is somebody, living the life of a troubled teenager in the time right before the end of the Soviet Union. She lives in a very small Russian apartment with her mother and father, however being this close to each other makes the living get rough. Their daily life is plagued with massive amounts of alcohol (mainly vodka) and when she tries to escape her home life, she meets up with a boyfriend, Sergei who then moves into her already small apartment after sleeping with her. Every day little Vera has to go through hell just to get by, which even involves her going against her own morals after her father has done something extremely wrong.

The Earth is facing great problems in the nearest future it is in the lack of sun light. Physicist Olmin is leading the project to build a special tunnel —made of elementary fractions— from the sun to the earth, in order to the earth could get much more sun energy and light. At the same time a strange flower is brought to the Earth from a dead planet.

The film is based on Sergei Narovchatov’s poem. Vassily Buslayev is an epic Russian hero who rose to defend the freedom and independence of his people. The strength and power of this son of a Novgorod governor, his friendship with simple folk enraged and scared the rich, fat merchants of the city. When they learned that the young man was setting out on a march to save his native land from the enemy, they couldn’t be more happy: how could he defeat a foe so mighty! But Vassily overcomes all intrigues and brings his expedition to a victorious end. He returns home a hero, and not alone but with a sweetheart. When a threat of enemy invasion again looms over Novgorod, people come and beg Vassily to defend their native land.

A young Russian girl is in love with show business and wants to leave her small town for Moscow and make it big in the big city. She encounters her long missing, remarried father and gets a boy friend who uses her and then leaves her.
