In the confined space of a typical school bus, two contrasting characters share an ordinary day on the road just before Christmas.

An engagement party is interrupted by the arrival of the Russian girl, hired to help an old woman. Liubi is the girl who is going to keep company to and help the sick mother of out protagonist. Dimitris, the son of the family and Liubi eventually fall in love. Their love will be tested by the social racism that surounds the origins of the girl.

Everyone carries something, some burden that weighs him down. Some are crushed, others are freed, others just carry on. Eleven characters cross each others paths, unveiling their fears and desires, during the world weightlifting championship

Iranian Iradj Azimi directed this French historical drama re-creating events depicted in the famous 1819 painting The Raft of the Medusa by Jean Louis Andre Theodore Gericault (1791-1824). The ill-fated voyage of the frigate Medusa begins when it departs Rochefort for Senegal in 1816. After striking a sandbar off the African coast, 150 civilians row safely to shore, but Captain Chaumareys (Jean Yanne) orders 140 soldiers and sailors onto a raft (minus supplies) and has it cut loose. Only 14 survive from the 140, creating a scandal back in France. Gericault (Laurent Terzieff) later talks to three of the survivors while researching his painting. Work on this film began in 1987, but sets destroyed by Hurricane Hugo caused delays, so the film was not completed until 1990. However, it then remained undistributed until an incident in which writer-director Azimi slashed his wrists in front of French Ministry of Culture officials.

With the youthful remembrance of the mysterious beauty he used to secretly admire from afar still etched in his mind, a young man will unexpectedly spot a dead ringer of her and attempt to appease his long-suppressed feelings.

A young Greek man goes to Paris seeking help from a solitary and almost misanthropic distant relative who works as a furrier. With him, he takes nothing from his homeland but a photograph of a woman that he finds on the pavement. A misunderstanding regarding the photograph sets off a series of dramatic misunderstandings which trap him in a vicious circle of lies and fantasies.

"Arpa-colla" in Greek literally means "Grab and stick", a phrase used to show something that has been done quickly and therefore isn't good enough. This is what the 2 main heroes of the film are doing. The one is a director(Giorgos) and the other an author(Kostas) with communistic ideas, who has won a prize at a festival. They both want to make a movie for the cinema. But every idea they have never comes true, because every time they meet someone to whom they tell their idea, they change their mind, and they want to make a totally different movie, ideas varying from political cinema to Greek historical dramas and modern films with motorcycle gangs. Not a bad attempt for the Greek cinema of the early 80's, which starts to wake up from the hibernation of the 70's.

A crook on the run hooks up with a criminal gang to commit a kidnapping. However, things don't go quite as planned.

그리스 해운왕의 딸 페드라(멜리나 머큐리)는 그리스 해운업계의 실력자 타노스(라프 발로네)와 결혼한다. 페드라는 원숙한 30대로 어디에서도 타인의 시선을 끄는 아름다움과 신비함을 지닌 매력적인 여성이다. 타노스와 그의 전처 사이에는 런던에서 경제학을 전공하는 알렉시스(안소니 퍼킨스)라는 24세의 아들이 있었는데 그는 본 적도 없는 새 어머니 페드라를 증오하며 그리스로 돌아오려고 하지 않는다. 타노스는 아들을 데려오도록 하기 위해 페드라를 런던으로 보낸다. 런던 박물관에서 알렉시스를 처음 만난 순간, 페드라는 젊고 순진한 그를 첫눈에 사랑하게 되고 알렉시스 역시 새 어머니에게 운명적인 사랑을 느껴 둘은 열렬히 사랑하게 된다. 아무것도 모르는 타노스는 알렉시스에게 귀국 선물로 스포츠 카를 사준다. 아버지의 명령으로 사랑하지도 않는 여자 엘시와 강제 결혼을 하게 된 알렉시스. 이에 질투와 절망으로 이성을 잃은 페드라는 금기를 깬 두사람이 결국 죽음에 이르게 되는 파국의 길을 자초하고 만다. 남편에게 사실을 고백해 버림으로써 말이다. 분노에 치를 떨며 아들을 구타하는 아버지. 아버지의 구타로 피투성이가 된 알렉시스는 페드라를 향해 절규한다. "난 다시 페드라의 얼굴을 보지 않겠어요. 난 페드라가 죽어버리길 바래요... 난 스물 네 살이예요. 그게 전부예요. 스물 네 살요..."
