먼 미래, 황폐해진 지구. 고비 사막 지역에서는 블레이드와 메두사 등이 한정된 자원을 두고 세력 다툼을 벌인다. 바거우촌의 대장장이 추이푸라이는 만삭의 아내와 단란한 삶을 꾸리고 있다. 그러던 어느 날 추이푸라이는 하늘에서 떨어진 바위와 접촉하며 외계 행성의 에너지를 흡수하게 되고 이로 인해 양대 세력의 싸움에 휘말리게 된다.
