집으로 돌아오던 모피 사냥꾼들이 숲에서 원주민에게 살해되는 사건이 발생한다.
그리고 그곳에 있던 모피 회사 사령관 콜먼의 손주 리바이가 실종된다.
콜먼은 전직 사냥꾼 포터에게 손주를 찾아달라고 부탁하고,
