하코다테의 서점에서 일하는 ´나´는 실직 중인 시즈오와 작은 아파트에서 함께 살고 있었다. 어느 날, 나와 서점에서 함께 일하는 사치코는 매일 밤 두 남자의 아파트로 놀러 온다. 그렇게 나날이 술을 마시고 당구를 치고 클럽에 다니는 세 명의 삶이 이어진다. 하지만 여름이 끝날 무렵 이들의 행복한 나날도 끝날 기미를 보이게 된다.
