Pete Townshend's Deep End were touring in support of Townshend's solo concept album "White City: A Novel". This concert from the Stadthalle Offenbach in Germany was filmed on June 11th. 1978 for the German Rockpalast TV series and perfectly captures the raw excitement of the original Bat Out Of Hell tour with Meat Loaf dominating the stage and the album s songwriter Jim Steinman contributing heavily.

Documenting Bernard Allison's blues-rock band at the height of their prodigious powers (during Allison's 2005 European tour), this 14-song concert video delivers the goods. With tunes by turns languid and rollicking -- and with a definite penchant for hard rock riffs --Allison and band mates rip (or meander) through such crowd favorites as "I Just Came Back to Say Goodbye" and "The Way Love Was Meant to Be."

Filmed in front of a huge crowd at Germany's Rockpalast Festival, this 1981 Thin Lizzy performance is one of very few live DVD recordings out there that is an entire show. The band at the time consisted of Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, Brian Downey, Darren Wharton and Snowy White (guitars) who was brought in a year or so earlier to replace Gary Moore for the Chinatown album. Renegade had just been released and the band was in the midst of a world tour in support of the album.

The English post-punk-band Gang of Four recorded live for Rockpalast, at Zeche Bochum on March 10, 1983. This was the most successful line-up of Gand of Four. The album "Hard" was released in September of the same year.

Forty years ago, Bob Marley embarked on a tour of Europe and the United States with The Wailers in support of their Uprising album. The 38-show excursion would be the last for the reggae icon, who succumbed to cancer on May 11, 1981. Marley & The Wailers brought the run to Dortmund, Germany on June 13, 1980 and the concert was filmed for the German live music television program Rockpalast.

The Uprising Tour was Bob Marley's last tour before his tragic early death in May 1981. Marley's energetic, charismatic performance gives no indication that he was already ill with the cancer that would take his life less than a year later.
