Alive with color, excitement, and spectacular effects, Firebird is a fantastical and thrilling
fairy tale about magic, love, danger and liberation. Prince Ivan, a young hunter, strays
into a mystical forest where he encounters the exotic, immortal Firebird who gives him an
enchanted feather that will summon her when he is in dire need. When Ivan falls in love with
a beautiful Princess who is under the spell of the evil sorcerer Kastchei, he calls the Firebird,
and the battle between good and evil is joined...
Production Design
John Leguizamo's semi-falsified, one-man stand-up performance as...himself. This is his autobiographical story, about his life growing up, and his journey to try to be accepted by his father. We see this story through a bizarre myriad of characters and situations, which include the eccentric Uncle Sanny, the Fat Boy Called Bitch (John's little brother, Poochie), his mom, his evil grandmothers, and Lee Stratsberg, not to mention a brief appearance by Cantinflas as God.
Projection
The Will Rogers Follies is a musical with a book by Peter Stone, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and music by Cy Coleman. It focuses on the life and career of famed humorist and performer Will Rogers, using as a backdrop the Ziegfeld Follies, which he often headlined, and describes every episode in his life in the form of a big production number. The Rogers character also performs rope tricks in between scenes. The revue contains snippets of Rogers' famous homespun style of wisdom and common sense and tries to convey the personality of this quintessentially American figure whose most famous quote was "I never met a man I didn't like."
