수금원인 아영(임해붕 분)은 열심히 일을 하는 그의 천성탓에 사랑하는 소란(여서은 분)에게 소홀해진다. 결국 소란은 그에게서 선물받았던 금견을 돌려주면서 이별을 고한다. 아영은 금견을 의지하며 오늘도 여전히 수금을 하기 위해 곽북현으로 향한다. 한편 겉으로는 화려하고 아름답지만 귀신들이 들끓는 무섭고도 으시시한 곽북현의 나무 요괴는 자신의 딸인 소천(원영의 분)의 미모를 이용해 그곳에 오는 남자들의 양기를 흡입하며 살아간다. 곽북현에 도착한 아영은 수금을 끝내고 다른 곳으로 발걸음을 옮기던 차에 인력거를 타고 가는 아리따운 소천을 보고 황홀경에 빠진다. 갑자기 하늘에서 인력거가 내려와 넋이 나간 아영을 태우고 어디론가 날아간다. 정신을 차려보니 귀신들이 가득한 식당 한켠 의자에 앉아 있었고, 이상한 형상들을 본 그는 경악을 금치 못한다. 2층 구석에서 지켜보고 있던 소천은 그를 구해내기 위해 귀신들의 공격에도 불구하고 가까스로 탈출한다. 인간을 구해줬다는 소행을 알게된 나무요괴는 소천을 잡기 위해 수단과 방법을 가리지 않고 그들을 뒤쫓지만 귀신들만을 전문적으로 잡는 연적하와 백운, 그리고 십방의 도움으로 위기를 모면하게 된다. 갖은 역경 속에서 아영의 진실하고 순수한 마음에 이끌린 소천은 환생의 문을 통과하여 인간으로 다시 태어나 그와의 영원한 사랑을 나누길 원했지만, 그 문을 통과할 때 날아오는 망치를 맞으면 과거의 모든 기억이 상실된다는 사실을 알게 된다. 하지만 용기를 내어 그 문을 향해 들어가고 겨우 통과한 아영은 소천과 약속한 장소로 달려가는데.

금강(허관걸 분)에게 2700만불 상당의 다이아몬드를 손해 본 대부는 흰장갑의 동생인 해리에게 금강과 앨버트(맥가 분)를 처치하고 우우라는 자와 마약거래를 하도록한다. 한편 금강에게 우우(창전보소 분)의 여동생인 유유(왕정환 분)가 접근을 하여 그를 이용하여 은행을 턴뒤 유유히 사라진다. 앨버트는 결국 하동시(장애가 분)와 결혼을 하지만 결혼식장은 금강 때문에 대소동이 벌어진다. 정보원을 통해 우우, 유유 남매에 대해 알아낸 금강과 앨버트는 우우에게 찾아간다. 우우는 이들에게 자기 대신 위조지폐로 마약 거래를 하도록 하지만 금강과 앨버트는 당연히 거절을 한다. 우우는 교묘하게 이들을 경찰에게 쫓기게 만들어서 이들을 괴롭힌다. 오빠의 명령으로 금강을 속였지만 진심이 아닌 유유의 마음을 알게된 금강은 유유를 사랑하게 된다. 결국 금강은 유유를 위해 이 거래를 하기로 한다.우우는 이들이 마약을 갖고 도주할것에 대비하여 이들 몸에 시한폭탄을 부착한다. 거래 도중 위조지폐가 들통나게 되고 금강과 앨버트는 로보트의 공격을 간신히 막아내고 나오지만 시한폭탄을 해체할 유일한 사람인 우우가 해리의 손에 죽음을 당한다.금강 일행은 특수 자동차로 해리와 멋진 한판을 벌이고 소형 로켓으로 해리를 날려버린다. 싸우는 와중에 금강의 시한폭탄은 자연히 제거가 되었지만 앨버트의 시한폭탄은 속수무책이었다. 하동시는 슬픔의 눈물을 흘리며 죽어도 같이 죽겠다며 앨버트의 마음을 더욱 아프게 하였다. 결국 시한폭탄은 정신병자에 의해 엉뚱하게도 제거가 되는데...
