Set in a small Polish town, "Louder Than Bombs" tells the coming-of-age story of Marcin, a 21-year-old with a penchant for James Dean and The Smiths. After the death of his father, Marcin must contend with the funeral arrangements while hosting his buffoonish out-of-town relatives who disparage his small town life as a mechanic in his father's garage. In addition, Marcin must face the news that his lifelong girlfriend has decided to leave Poland to live in the U.S. If he doesn't act quickly, he may never see her again.

The film is set in 1905, in a time of feverish revolutionary underground activity in Poland partitioned between three neighbours. All the characters are committed anarchists. The bomb maker puts an invention together to place it at the disposal of young inexperienced terrorists fighting against Tsarist oppression. The story follows the passing of this bomb from anarchist to anarchist as several attempts are made on the life of Tsarist governor general, until, at the end, it is effectively and harmlessly defused by a bomb expert. The presence of the bomb has a destroying effect on all of the Polish revolutionaries, they either die or breakdown.

A well-regarded engineer in a big enterprise is hounded by trumped up attacks on his integrity when he delves too deeply into how bonuses are handled by the management. He gets into an argument with the guard, is arrested and subsequently fired. An old friend, a journalist, tries to sort things out but the victim's stubbornness and past problems with his wife lead to lossess by both.

An ironic look at a climber who decides to do anything, including throwing mud at his best friend, to get a job he thinks will launch him into a better career.

Man of Marble is a Polish film about a student making a film about a bricklayer who was once idolized. She interviews people who knew him and finds old footage that lead to an unfolding mystery that causes her producer to cancel the project.

사회 대변동의 시기가 도래한 1970년, 한 마을에 화학 공장이 새로 지어질 예정이다. 그러나 공장 관리자와 주민들의 갈등은 계속되고, 건설 실무를 맡은 스테판은 고민에 빠진다. 그는 마을 주민들이 모두 만족할 수 있는 방법을 찾으려 하지만 아내와의 갈등을 포함해 크고 작은 사건이 계속 이어진다. 1976년 폴란드영화제 심사위원 특별상 수상. (한국시네마테크협의회) 1970년, 대규모의 화학공장을 건설할 장소를 결정 하기 위해 난상토론과 밀실에서의 타협이 이루어지고 장소가 결정된다. 고지식한 당원인 베드나츠가 이 건설의 책임을 맡게 되면서, 좋지 않은 기억으로 남아있는 옛 고향을 다시 찾게 된다. 베드나츠는 옛 고향을 사람들이 평화롭게 어울려 사는 곳으로 만들고 싶어하지만 그의 신념은 마을 사람들의 탐욕스러운 욕구와 충돌하고 결국 포기하게 된다. 기록영화작업을 꾸준히 하던 키에슬로프스키의 첫 장편영화로 좌파 세력의 위선적인 모습을 대단히 미묘하지만 효과적으로 보여준 작품. 키에슬로프스키 감독은 이 영화로 모스크바영화제 대상을 수상하며 `도덕적 불안의 영화` 세대의 지도자로 국내외에서 확실한 주목을 받았다. 극장의 무대 뒤에서 일하는 재단사, 페인트공, 모형 제작자 등 익명의 노동자들의 세계. 이들 노동자들은 극장이 제대로 움직이는 데에 중요한 역할을 수행하지만, 공연이라는 최종 결과물에서는 이들의 이름이 거론되지 않는다. 극장 배우의 인기가 예전 같지는 않지만, 여전히 칭송되는 사람들은 연기자들이다. 그리고, 연기자들은 자신들을 다른 나머지 스태프들보다 우월하다고 생각한다. 로멕(Romek)은 학교를 졸업하자마자 극장 재단사의 작업실에서 일을 하게 되지만, 그가 실제로 하게 된 일은 예전에 생각했던 이상과는 너무 거리가 멀다는 것을 깨닫게 된다. 극장 노동조합은 로멕이 무례하고 건방진 어떤 배우와 말다툼을 하기 일쑤인 그의 작업실 선배와 갈등을 빚도록 만들려고 하는데…
