할리우드의 메이크업 아티스트로 활동 중인 ‘글로리아’(지나 로드리게즈)는 미인 대회에 출전하는 친구 ‘수주’(크리스티나 로드로)의 무대 메이크업을 돕기 위해 멕시코로 떠난다. 하지만 대회 시작을 앞두고 찾은 한 클럽에서 ‘글로리아’는 마약 갱단에 납치되고 가족과도 같은 친구 ‘수주’마저 어디론가 사라져버리고 만다. ‘글로리아’는 실종된 ‘수주’를 찾기 위해 어쩔 수 없이 마약상 ‘리노’(이스마엘 크루즈 코르도바)의 범죄에 가담하고, ‘수주’가 부패한 경찰 서장 ‘사우세도’(다미안 알카자르)에 의해 납치되었다는 소식을 접하게 된다. ‘글로리아’는 친구를 찾게 해주는 대가로 미인대회에 위장 출전해 자신의 범죄를 도우라는 ‘리노’의 마지막 제안을 받게 되는데...
