18세기 미대륙에서 벌어지는 영국과 프랑스의 식민지 전쟁을 배경으로 모히칸족에 의해 길러진 백인 호크아이와 영국인 장교의 딸 코아 사이의 사랑과 모험이 펼쳐진다. 모히칸족 추장에 의해 길러진 백인 청년 호크아이는 영토를 두고 영국과 프랑스 사이의 전쟁이 벌어지자, 추장의 아들 웅카스와 모히칸족을 지키기 위해 전투에 나선다. 당시 영국과 프랑스는 영토전쟁을 벌였고, 희생양은 인디언들이었다.

High profile fashion photographer Scott Bruin has been suffering from a series of increasingly disturbing and violent dreams in which he savagely attacks and murders a young woman. Fearing for his sanity, Scott begins to investigate these strange visions but slowly starts to believe that these all-too-real seeming nightmares might not be dreams after all and that the woman in them is in imminent danger.

교통방송 기자 겸 헬기 조종사인 빌리는 저공 비행 때문에 조종사 자격정치처분을 받고 실직하게 된다. '에어 아메리카'란 항공사에서는 그에게 찾아와 대만의 조종사 자격증과 고액의 급여를 주며 스카웃 하려한다. 라오스에서 근무해야 한다는 게 맘에 안 들었지만, 빌리는 이에 응하고 라오스로 가게 된다. 그의 임무는 식량을 공급하고 피난민을 옮기는 것. 그러나 미국에선 그들의 존재조차 모르고 있는데...
