Hasan and Ruksan are a couple who fled away from the internal war in Syria and settled in Izmir, Cesme in Turkey. They dream about leaving Cesme to go to Europe by boat for a better future. Ruksan learns how to swim so she can survive if things go wrong.

Erdem is a 35 years old journalist. He has been unemployed for the last 15 months and he’s about to become a father. He desperately needs a job. Being rejected once again in a job interview, he takes the news editor as a hostage.
