The owner of an established photo studio, collapses from illness. His son Shinta, who was raised by his divorced wife, comes home. One day, an elderly woman named shows up at the studio and beckons Shinta to come with her. They arrive at a grassy field where Shinta finds about the secret of the "singing voice" that keeps echoing in his memory and about his father's feelings.

Boyatetsu travels to the year 2020 in Tokyo from the year 1945. Tokyo is now plagued by a decreasing population and an increase in unemployment.

Hironobu goes through his boring days aimlessly. He finds a camera at a recycle shop which is owned by his grandfather. The camera is able to take the longest panoramic photo. Hironobu's life soon changes.

미즈키의 남편 유스케가 바다에서 실종된 지도 3년이 지났다. 어느 날 그가 갑작스럽게 집으로 돌아왔을 때, 부인은 그다지 놀라지 않는다. 대신, 왜 돌아오는데 이렇게 오랜 시간이 걸렸는지를 궁금해 한다. 그녀는 여행을 떠나자는 유스케의 제안을 받아들인다.

At a high school in the city of Yokohoma the baseball team trains to go to the top. There are struggles, hardships and successes and not all of it is due the star pitcher or batter and those in the centre of attention. There are rewards to being the great, but it is a long way to the top and they know it.

The piano tuner Ota is still in mourning for the loss of his beloved wife. He would like to go on, but he can’t find the beach where his wife wanted her ashes to be scattered. While helping his friend Kojima with his antique shop, Ota meets the old Kuzo, a ventriloquist with a mysterious and fascinating female puppet, Aria, and his disciple, Senju. But during a show, the old man collapses. At the hospital, he asks Ota to find a piano he sold a long time ago to a pawn shop, and dies. Ota and Senju decide to look for the piano, even if Kuzo will not be able to enjoy it anymore, as a way to carry on the master’s memory. Just before the departure, a mysterious and beautiful woman enters the antique shop, claiming to be Kuzo’s daughter. She wants to join them in the quest for the piano. The three leave in search of the long forgotten piano: they will meet a number of uncommon characters, who will guide them in a journey through the master’s past, and their memories, towards the future.

Koji, a jazz musician, takes a cigarette break in between sets at a Tokyo nightclub. He witnesses a murder and runs into a girl, Linda, who is being pursued by the killers. For the next two hours, Koji and Linda are running from both the hitmen and the police. Mistakenly identified as prime suspects, they have to solve the crime but time is running out: Koji has to be back to perform in his club by midnight, as a very special guest will be attending.

Mamoru Hirayama, the sales manager of Clover Shoji, a women's underwear manufacturer, was selected by President Usui to be the manager of the foreign affairs section newly established in the sales department. Hirayama, a former soldier, is suddenly enthusiastic when the company orders him to join the Self-Defense Forces. It turned out that the bundle of bills that the captain had made a mess of was packed in a box and buried somewhere.
