수지는 언니 현지의 별장에 가는 길에 중국인 강명을 차에 태워준다. 강명은 강원도 백담사에서 열리는 자연보호 세미나에 가던 길이었다. 먼저 수지의 언니 별장에 도착한 두 사람은 형부 영태가 피살되어 있는 것을 발견한다. 그리고 수지가 의문의 죽음을 당한다. 강명은 모든 일이 초음파 송신기의 탓이라고 생각한다. 강명이 진상을 규명하는데 수지의 시체가 일어나 강명을 죽인다. 시체가 된 강명은 초음파 송신소에 나타나 기계를 실험하는 동창생을 죽이고 기계를 파괴시킨다. (임재원)
