Lola, a 16-year-old teenager who is not doing well at school, is beginning to take the subjects she took in her fourth year when she is presented with the opportunity to study for a semester at a school in Germany. She wants to travel, but her family, absorbed by her older sister's bipolar disorder, is in debt and can't face that trip. The instability and wear on her bond with her sister make Lola go out looking for new experiences, cling to them to find a way to carry that journey forward, and to be able to escape a bit from the exhausting family dynamic.
