“고어의 대부”란 별명을 가진 루치오 풀치(1927~1996)는 독보적인 상상력으로 호러 영화사에 한 획을 그은 감독이다. 시모네 스카피디 감독은 "좀비 2"(1979), "비욘드(The Beyond)"(1981) 등 악명 높은 대표작은 물론, 제작 현장과 인터뷰 등의 미공개 영상 등 풍부한 자료를 통해 루치오 풀치의 발자취를 재구성한다. 또한 영화만큼이나 흥미로운 풀치의 비밀에 싸인 개인사에 접근하기 위해 대역 배우까지 기용하여 풀치의 매력이 무엇이었는지 탐구한다. (2020년 제8회 베니스 인 서울)
