새벽 인기 건물에서 청소원이 비밀 실험실 내 철장을 열자, 눈에 보이지 않는 괴물한테 습격을 당해 숨진다. 괴생명체의 조사하기 위해 야생동물학자 아량은 전여자친구 시문이 있는 인지 그룹을 찾는다. 시문은 아량을 데리고 회사를 둘러보다가 변종 티라노사우루스에게 습격당하자 모두 잠시 보안옥으로 피신한다. 아량은 이 동물들이 모두 유전자를 섞어 만든 '괴수'라는 사실을 밝혀내 변종 티라노사우루스 공격을 피해야 할 뿐 아니라 인기 그룹의 모든 데이터를 확보하게 된다. 변종 티라노사우루스들은 거대한 몸집과 잔학함, 그리고 카멜레온처럼 자유자재로 피부색을 바꿀 수 있기 때문에 분간을 하기 힘들어 많은 사람들이 목숨을 잃게 된다. 하지만, 아량은 변종 티라노사우스가 추위에 약하다는 걸 알아낸다. 그렇지만 아량 혼자서는 이 거대한 변종 괴물에 대항할 수 없기에, 아량은 변종 아나콘다를 이용해 변종 티라노사우루스에게 맞서 싸우는 방법을 고안해내는데.
