A "Diablo Rojo" bus driver, his helper, a priest, and two policemen fall victim to a mysterious spell and end up lost somewhere in the Chiriqui jungle, where they will have to survive the creatures that inhabit the roads, with the old bus as their only refuge.

Café owner Peter, leaves his disgruntled manager Henry, to take care of business, and he instead hires a crew of misfits. Peter returns to an unrecognizable business but soon learns the value of camaraderie with the new team.

Sam Hunter, an American photojournalist, is ostensibly covering the Pope's visit to the South American country of San Pedro. Sam quickly gets into trouble with the repressive military regime of the dictator Mendosa, which controls San Pedro with an iron grip. Nevertheless, Sam heads off to the mountains to find Marcos. On his way, he meets the radiantly beautiful Dr. Luisa Suarez, a doctor committed to the impoverished mountain peasants. An awakening volcano and the best efforts of a government death squad do not stop Sam from reaching Marcos, and he becomes sympathetic to the cause... documenting it with his photos. This is a sequel to Super Fly (1972). In it, Nathan Purdee is now playing the role of Priest, who was played by Ron O'Neal in the previous movie. In it, Eddie, Priest's old partner, was killed. Now Priest, who has been living in France, and who is no longer a drug dealer, visits, and he sets out to find the ones who killed Eddie, and to get them.
