Max and Mark are two sailor trainees, looking for adventure and poetry. They are sailing from Brittany to Scotland aboard of « Soutien de famille », a ship who is just restored. On arrival, they have a promise to keep : transform the hull of their ship to barrels of scotch whisky. A bet looking like a performance which will have to come to terms with the tantrum of the sea. How far these two friends will go to meet their freedom ?

Artists Maxime Berthou and Mark Požlep embarked on a practice-based research journey on the Mississippi River from September 2 to October 20, 2019. Their means of transportation was a hand-built 20-foot (6-meter) steam-powered paddle boat named "Thumpa."
