Tuesday Morning Ride is based on the short story "A Summer Tragedy" by Arna Bontemps, a Harlem Renaissance writer. Set in the 1930s, the story depicts an old man and woman -- he a stroke victim, she blind -- who feel they have nothing to live for since their children do not visit. They decide to put on their finest clothing and take a final ride in their car -- with no turning back. The film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.

This is the story of the two babies who were switched at birth. A few years later when one of the girls gets sick and tests revealed that she was not the daughter of the couple who raised her. Eventually she dies. And the couple most especially the mother, search for their real daughter. Eventually they suspect that it's a widower who has their child. Now while they try to find out if she is their daughter, the widower is advised by his attorney not to be so hasty to cooperate, cause if she is their daughter, he might lose her, and she is all he has.

도심의 한 고등학교에서 졸업생이 학교를 고소한 소송 사건이 일어나 선생님들이 증언석에 앉게 되는 불미스러운 일이 일어난다. 이 학교의 사회 선생, 알렉스는 학생들을 사랑으로 보살피고 진심으로 교육하는 15년 경력의 선생님. 진정한 스승을 찾기 어려운 오늘날의 각박한 교육 현실을 신랄하게 꼬집으며, 그 속에서도 바른 사도의 길을 고수하는 알렉스 선생님의 존재가 아름다운 감동으로 마음에 다가오는 영화다. 문제의 소송은 이 학교 졸업생이 학교를 졸업했음에도 불구하고 읽고 쓰기조차 못함에 따라 학교측에 책임을 묻는 것. 역시 이 학교의 졸업생이면서 원고측 변호사인 리사가 학교에 찾아온다. 학창시절 알렉스 선생님으로부터 바른 교육의 영향을 깊게 받았던 리사는 교육적으로 많은 문제점들을 안고 있는 부조리한 오늘날의 학교 현실을 간파하고 이 소송을 통해 학교를 변화시키려고 안간힘을 쓴다. 반면, 이사장, 교장 이하 모든 선생님들은 학교의 치부를 드러내지 않기 위해 반교육적이었던 그들의 과오를 인정하지 않는 증언으로 일관해 리사를 곤혹스럽게 한다. 진정으로 아이들을 염려하며 또 교육하기 위해 동분서주하던 알렉스는 학교측과 사사건건 부딪치게 되고, 학교측은 결국 그에게 강제 사직서를 내도록 종용한다. 그를 내쫓으려는 동료 교사들에 실망하고, 혼자만의 힘으론 학생도 교육도 결코 변화시킬 수 없다는 좌절감으로 교직을 떠나려는 알렉스. 그러나 타고난 교사인 알렉스의 신념과 능력을 믿고 그를 사랑하게 된 리사의 강력한 호소로 다시 마음을 돌린다. 그를 지지하며 환호하는 학생들의 물결에 쌓여 알렉스는 학생과 학교를 살리기 위한 필사의 투쟁을 할 것을 선언한다.

A pianist takes his ailing wife out of a London hospital at the same time that another female patient there has suffered a miscarriage. Afterwards, the second woman feels empty and withdrawn, and, thinking that getting her away from London will help, her husband takes her to live at a country estate, which turns out to be the former residence of the pianist who left after his wife died. The woman begins to get visions of the wife and her final days; is she becoming possessed by the dead wife of the pianist?
