하리쉬와 레쉬미는 케랄라에서 델리로 이주한 노동자 부부이다. 이들은 의료용 장갑을 만드는 교외의 공장에서 일하면서 해외로 이민 갈 준비를 하고 있다. 어느 날, 워킹 비자 신청을 위해 하리쉬는 레쉬미가 일하는 광경을 비디오로 찍는데, 이 영상이 누군가에 의해 엉뚱하게 편집되어 유포되면서, 부부는 뜻하지 않은 사건에 휘말리게 된다. 더 나은 삶을 향해 끝없이 이주해야 하는 가난한 부부의 삶은 고달프다. 그러나 물질적 궁핍만이 이들을 괴롭히는 것이 아니다.
