해녀인 엄마의 49재를 치르던 중 이웃으로부터 엄마가 사실은 해녀가 아니었으며 해신을 모시는 심방 집안사람이었다는 사실을 듣게 되는 해선. 심지어 죽은 엄마의 49재가 끝나는 날 엄마가 자신이 낳을 아이로 다시 태어날 것이라는 기이한 얘기까지 듣게 된다. 해선은 엄마가 평생 그런 이야기에 둘러싸여 살아온 것을 알게 되고 괴로웠을 엄마를 대신해 심방이 되어 해신의 실체를 확인하기로 한다. 결국 직접 심방이 되어 숨겨진 해신당 동굴로 들어간 해선은 동굴에서 빛줄기를 본 순간 산통을 느끼며 출산을 겪는다. 해선은 결국 아기를 엄마로 여기며 그날 밤 엄마와 함께 바다로 사라지는 선택을 한다.

The title of eobchae’s film AMAEBCH is a combination of acronyms reflecting the collective’s latest interests in Web 3 - ‘AMA’ as the abbreviation of ‘Ask me anything’ from social media culture and ‘EBCH’ as a cryptocurrency symbol for ‘Eobchaecoin’. The protagonist of AMAEBCH is ‘Bisamuncheon’, a king of the afterlife from The Tale of Seol Gongchan, a novel from medieval Korea. In AMAEBCH, Bisamuncheon manifests itself as an executive of ‘Eobchaecoin(altcoin created by eobchae)’ via scattered body graphics generated from LiDAR sensor, answering the questions created from GPT-3. The questioners of AMA are the sentient beings who are eager to know the destiny of Eobchaecoin. By introducing a supreme existence to bridge the three recent artworks from 2020 to 2022 in the film, eobchae shares a possible world where the fictional entities based on very different periods can exist together.
